1. THE FRESHNESS UPDATE: SKIP THE STORE
Grocery store coffee is a legacy system. It is slow. It is old. Beans often sit for months before you even see them.

2. GRIND DYNAMICS: BURR VS BLADE
Your blade grinder is causing system instability. It creates "dust and boulders." This results in uneven extraction. Your coffee is sour and bitter at the same time. This is a hardware failure.
TECHNICAL SUGGESTION:
Try upgrading to a burr grinder.
A burr grinder provides CONSISTENT PARTICLE SIZE.
- French Press: COARSE.
- Pour-over: MEDIUM.
- Espresso: FINE.

If your coffee tastes like burnt rubber, grind COARSER.
Try disabling your extensions if the flavor persists.
3. THE H2O PATCH: FILTERED ONLY
Coffee is 98.8% water. If your tap water tastes like a swimming pool, your coffee will taste like a swimming pool.

Filtered water allows the complex notes of our Single Origin beans to execute properly. Do not use distilled water. It lacks the minerals needed to "pull" the flavor out.
4. RATIO CALIBRATION: STOP WINGING IT
"Two scoops" is not a measurement. It is a guess. Guesses lead to ERR_INCONSISTENT_BREW.
COMMAND LINE PROMPT:input_coffee --weight 20ginput_water --weight 320g
Use a digital scale. Aim for a 1:16 ratio.
1 gram of coffee for every 16 grams of water.

5. THERMAL SYNC: TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Water that is too cold will not extract. Water that is boiling will scorch.

The optimal window is 195°F to 205°F (91°C to 96°C). If you do not have a thermometer, wait 30 seconds after the boil before pouring.
Preheating your equipment is a necessary background task. Pour hot water into your mug and brewer before starting the main process. This prevents HEAT_LOSS_ERROR.
6. THE BLOOM PROTOCOL
Freshly roasted coffee contains CO2. If you don't remove the gas, the water cannot reach the coffee.

- Pour a small amount of water over grounds (2x the weight of coffee).
- Wait 30-45 seconds.
- Observe the bubbles. This is the gas leaving the system.
- Continue brew.
FAILURE TO BLOOM RESULTS IN SUBOPTIMAL SATURATION.
7. MAINTENANCE ROUTINE: CLEAN YOUR GEAR
Old coffee oils are a virus. They go rancid. They infect your new brew.
SYSTEM NOTIFICATION:
Cleanliness check failed.
Wash your carafe. Brush your grinder. Descale your machine. If you haven't cleaned your coffee maker since the last presidential election, your coffee will taste like history.
